Under the Surface Series

The “Under the Surface” series is a contemporary exploration of subconscious, emotional fossils, and memory. Each work invites viewers to engage with their unconscious impulses and the emotional traces of the past; these traces are metaphorically linked to the hidden landscapes of the ocean floor. Each piece holds value as an individual artwork, yet together the series forms a large-scale, immersive wall installation.

The pieces are crafted using clay, recycled glass, and eco-friendly Eco-friendly materials. Each piece is fired at 1,200°C and designed with specialized shaping techniques to allow safe and secure wall installation, ensuring the panels can be confidently displayed in galleries or private spaces for many years.

Each artwork plays with material, surface, and light to explore subconscious, emotional fossils, and memory. The porcelain and glass materials naturally retain their shine and durability for centuries, making these works heirloom-quality art pieces.

As a Dublin-based ceramic artist, this series provides both conceptual depth and lasting aesthetic value for galleries, collectors, curated exhibitions, and public art projects.
